As we know Hebrews 11:1 describes faith as “the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Although we cannot physically see God, we know that He is present and working in our lives.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

  • Unbelief can cause fear to take hold of our lives and emotions
  • Fear cannot exist in the same space as faith
  • Faith can deliver us from fear and worry because faith is the opposite of unbelief

Faith doesn’t come from us, but is a gift Ephesians 2:8

Ephesians 2:8
for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God).

  • The more that we learn about God, the more our eyes are open to how He is working in our lives and strengthening our faith.
  • Our faith continues to grow in our understanding of God and as we study His Character.
  • Faith means that God loves us and cares about our thoughts and needs.
  • Studying the word is critical in growing stronger in faith and being able to rely on Him for the direction of our lives.
